I currently live in the City of Thornton and have three young wrestlers participating in the great sport of wrestling. My oldest son is the 2022 Colorado State Champion and also USAW US Marine Corps National Championships All-American. I graduated from Broomfield High School and was a multiple time state place winner, including being a two time State Finalist. As for the Olympic styles, I was a two time HS Feestyle and Greco Roman State Champion and Greco All-American. I was a member and competed for 3 years on the Colorado Cadet and Junior National Team Duals and Fargo. During this timeframe I also competed over seas internationally throughout Europe. In college, I wrestled Division I for the University of Wyoming. I currently have 8 years of Coaching experience with Peewee and High School wrestling. I have helped out at multiple clubs throughout these years. Having seen many different clubs operate has allowed me to formulate and combine what I believe is the best all around practice and preparation that is needed for wrestlers to be successful and to develop a love for the sport of wrestling.
Coach Michael Stearns has grown up wrestling and rolled right into coaching spending most of his life dedicating his time to the sport. He specializes in strength, conditioning and advanced technique. Coach Stearns is one of the most fundamentally sound coaches with roots and for those just starting out in the sport. There's no one better at getting your child pumped, motivated and believing in themselves before a match.
