Our Coaches

Scott Neitenbach


Scott Neitenbach graduated from Boulder High School and attended the University of Colorado, Oklahoma State University, and Colorado State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and a Master of Science Degree in Accounting at Oklahoma State University. In 2014, he completed the teacher certification program at Colorado State University in Business Education. 

His wrestling experiences cover many years. As a competitor, Scott was a four-year letterman and a team tri-captain at the University of Colorado which competed in the Big 8 Conference (now the Big 12). He was a Big 8 Conference finalist and a two time NCAA qualifier. His coaching experiences include positions as head coach at Boulder High School and assistant coach at Nederland High School, Highland High School, and Brighton High School. He is also a former Chairman of Colorado USA Wrestling and has been a member of several Colorado National Freestyle Team coaching staffs.

Scott has been happily married for 25 years and has three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, backpacking, skiing, and reading. 


Doug Pfeifer

Coach Pfeifer lives in the City of Brighton and has an extensive coaching history.  He is a former head wrestling coach (Westminster High School) and coached as an assistant wrestling coach at Brighton High School.  He has experience coaching freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling.  He is married, enjoys hunting and the outdoors and is a local business person in our community.

John Ness

John Ness lives in the City of Thornton and currently has three young wrestlers participating in the great sport of wrestling.  John graduated from Broomfield High School and was a multiple time state place winner including being a two time finalist.  He was a two time freestyle and Greco Roman state champion.  In college, John wrestled Division I at the University of Wyoming.
